Jim Morrison (Singer Songwriter)

 Jim Morrison met his band during his university years at UCLA. The band was signed to Elektra Records in 1966. The Doors created some of the world best rock music, the first being its 1967 release album "Break on Through". Morrison left the band in 1971 and moved to Paris.  He was born James Douglas Morrison. His father was a naval aviator who rose to the rank of Real Admiral. His father was also a great pianoist and music continued to run in the family.


Ray Manzarek, Jim Morrison, Jim Densmore and Robby Krieger were the other members of the band. His girfriend and best friend was Pamela Courson.
