John Carradine was an American actor and martial artist, best known for his leading role as a Shaolin monk, Kwai Chang Caine, in the 1970s television series Kung Fu between 1972 to 1975. The tv series was an action adventure martial arts western. He has several awards including Theatre World Award (1966), Tp de Oro - Best Foreign Actor (1974), Golden Star (1997), and the International Film festival Lifetime Achievement Award.
